Our Team

William R. Cargill, Jr.

William R. Cargill, Jr. founded Cargill Insurance in 1987, having started his career at Massachusetts Mutual in Boston in 1977.  Cargill started his agency after ten years of brokerage work. The original agency was located at 27 Main Street and in 1991 Bill relocated his business to 2 Main Street in a building that his father built for his real estate practice after World War II.   Bill has dedicated his entire career to providing the highest level of customer service, industry knowledge and best practices to his clients and customers.  A graduate of Northeastern University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Insurance, He is an active member in both the Boxford and Topsfield communities, serving currently as a Boxford Selectman since 2014 and as Chairman of the Boxford Zoning Board of Appeals for the last 22 years of which the last 12 he has held the chairmanship of the board.  He was an active member of First Church Boxford, MA and a trustee for six years and held Chairmanship of the Stewardship Committee.  He also was instrumental in structuring the land deal of the Nelson Property in 2000 so the church could expand and build its Family Life Center.  He has served on the Boxford AA and a number of adhoc committees appointment by the selectman regarding master plan studies, the new town hall and reforming the Governmental structure of Boxford.  A lifelong resident of Boxford, Bill and his wife, Alicia are the parents of four children and have one grandchild and five dogs.  In his spare time Bill loves to Alpine Ski, work on his golf game and has been an avid runner for 34 years. He also enjoys spending time with yard work and gardening.

Rob joined Cargill Insurance in 2006, becoming the third generation to join the family business.  Rob worked for 5 years with Plymouth Rock Insurance in their underwriting department in Boston prior to joining Cargill Insurance.  Rob handles all lines of insurance for the agency and is known for his professionalism, knowledge, and outstanding customer service.  A former volunteer firefighter for the town of Boxford, he was a first responder. Rob like his dad an avid Alpine skier, hiker, and outdoorsman.  He makes his home in Boxford, Massachuetts.

 

Carol A. LaRocca

Carol has been with Cargill for 23  years as a licensed producer with the agency.  Carol’s background in personal lines property and casualty insurance lends itself well to the agency and its customers.  Carol lives in Boxford with her husband Bruce and has two grown daughters Lauren and Lyndsay. Carols main interests are gardening and walking.
